Product Description

This product will soon be discontinued.

The PSC1-005 is a laptop programmable calibrator that is specifically designed to implement conversion from an Air Flow Meter (AFM) to a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. It is designed specifically for use in applications that have an AFM with inverted output. These read near 5 V with no air flow and near zero at maximum air flow. The PSC1-005 provides a way to adjust the reading from the new MAF sensor so it matches the reading from the original AFM. It can also be used to optimize the fuel mixture for other engine modifications. It is programmed with the Split Second R4 engine management software.

In addition to the calibration function, the PSC1-005 implements several other critical functions. It performs elevation compensation so the fuel mixture does not go lean at higher elevations. It also filters the signal to match the response time of the original AFM. This assures smoothness along with improved throttle response. This unit can be special ordered with the data acquisition option.

The R4 software included with this unit does not run on the latest version of Windows 11.

Legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.
