Product Description

This product will soon be discontinued.

The AIC1-V6H/EV6 is a highly specialized version of the AIC1. It is specifically used to add six additional port injectors on in-line 6-cylinder, direct injected engines. As with the other versions of the AIC1, it is programmed with the R4 engine management software which is included. Connection to a laptop is made through a USB to serial adapter cable which is not included. The USB to serial cable we sell on this site is highly recommended.

Instead of an internal pressure sensor, the AIC1-V6H/EV6 has a voltage input with a 0-5 V range. The voltage input can come from a stock or external map sensor, or from an MAF sensor. This means the load can be based on either pressure or flow and is not limited to a fixed range.

The AIC1-V6H/EV6 requires a true-tach input signal which is a square wave signal that pulses for each ignition event. Many ECUs do not provide a true-tach signal because the tachometer is driven by a CAN bus signal. On applications without a true-tach, a tach adapter may be used. Fortunately, BMW does provide a true-tach signal on most vehicles which can generally be found on pin 9 of the diagnostic port. This unit is ideally suited for N54, N55, S55 and B58 BMW engines.

This unit comes with EV6 injector connectors. This unit does not come pre-programmed. It is essential that you load an appropriate map before running this unit on an engine.

The R4 software included with this unit does not run on the latest version of Windows 11.

Legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.
