PSC1-009 Programmable Signal Calibrator AFM to MAF HV Output

Product Description

The PSC1-009 is a laptop programmable calibrator that is specifically designed to implement conversion from a 0–9V range Air Flow Meter (AFM) to a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. AFM sensor with a 0-9V range are common in L-Jetronic and early Toyota applications.

Conversion to the MAF sensor removes a major restriction on the engine resulting in higher power and efficiency. The PSC1-009 provides a way to adjust the reading from the new MAF sensor so it matches the 0-9 V range of the original AFM. It can also be used to optimize the fuel mixture for other engine modifications. It is programmed with the Split Second R4 engine management software.

In addition to the calibration function, the PSC1-009 implements several other critical functions. It performs elevation compensation so the fuel mixture does not go lean at higher elevations. It also filters the signal to match the response time of the original AFM. This assures smoothness along with improved throttle response.

The R4 software is included with this unit.

Legal only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.
