Product Description
The R4 software may have issues running on Windows 11. See the tech note “Run the R4 Software on Windows 11” for more information.
The R4 software is a Windows based software package that provides the user interface for a variety of Split Second engine management products. It controls the AIC1 Additional Injector Controller, PSC1 Programmable Signal Calibrator and FTC1 Fuel/Timing Calibrator families of products. It operates on Windows 95/98/XP/2000/Vista/7/8 and Windows 10. Some files must be registered for R4 to run on Windows 11 that was updated from Windows 10. See TN10 “Run the R4 software on Windows 11” in the Tech Notes section for more information. R4 does not run on new versions of Windows 11. Calibration files can be created, edited and documented within the R4 program. The program supports reading and writing these files to programmable Split Second products in order to implement the engine tuning process. Data communication is through a 9-pin serial port and may be implemented with a USB to serial adapter. The R4 program also supports up to four auxiliary inputs and data logging.
